EARLY BIRD TICKETS for the Skelton Show will be available starting 1st December – ideal Christmas presents!
Skelton Show has been running since the late 1800’s and grown from a small local show held in the village to one of the major agricultural shows in Cumbria. It is now held on the first Saturday in July in the picturesque setting of the Old Park at Hutton in the Forest near Penrith (3 miles NW of M6 Jun 41)
The show has a large horticultural and industrial marquee and classes of cattle, sheep, horses, dogs, vintage vehicles, fur and feathered animals and Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling. With well over 150 trade stands, a gift and crafts tent, Skelton Food Hall, a wide variety of entertainment, music, food and bar.

Skelton Show | Entry Ticket Terms & Conditions
We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to the Skelton Show. To help everyone enjoy a safe and enjoyable day, please take a moment to read the Terms & Conditions below. By purchasing or using a ticket, you agree to these conditions.
- Tickets & Admission
1.1 All tickets are non-refundable unless the Show is cancelled by the organisers.
1.2 Tickets are valid only for the date shown and for one entry per person.
1.3 Please bring your e-ticket on a mobile device or as a printed copy with a clear, scannable barcode.
1.4 Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
1.5 The Skelton Show Committee reserves the right to refuse entry or ask a visitor to leave if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
- Event Changes & Cancellation
2.1 We may need to adjust the programme, attractions, or layout without prior notice if circumstances require it.
2.2 If the Show has to be cancelled due to severe weather or other events outside our control, refunds or ticket transfers may be offered at our discretion.
2.3 No refunds will be issued for partial programme changes if the Show as a whole still takes place.
- Safety & Security
3.1 Bag checks may be carried out on entry. Refusal may result in entry being denied.
3.2 Please follow all signage, steward guidance, health and safety announcements
3.3 The Show includes livestock, machinery, vehicles and demonstrations. Please take care and supervise children, particularly around animals.
3.4 Visitors enter the Show at their own risk. We are not responsible for injury, loss, or damage unless caused by our proven negligence.
- Dogs & Animals
4.1 Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead at all times.
4.2 Please ensure you clean up after your dog.
4.3 Dogs may not be permitted in certain tents, display areas, or livestock sections.
- Personal Belongings
5.1 Any items brought to the Show are your responsibility.
5.2 We cannot accept liability for lost, damaged, or stolen property.
5.3 Lost property should be handed to a steward or taken to the Secretary’s Tent.
- Photography & Media
6.1 Official photographers and videographers may be present throughout the day. Images may be used for future promotional material.
6.2 By entering the Show, you agree to the possibility of appearing in event photography or video.
6.3 Visitors are welcome to take personal photos but must not enter restricted areas or obstruct walkways, exhibitors, or livestock pens.
- Prohibited Items & Behaviour
7.1 The following are not permitted on the showfield:
- Illegal substances
- Weapons or dangerous items
- Drones without written permission
- Excessive alcohol or glass bottles
- We may refuse any item or activity we believe is unsafe or inappropriate.
- Vehicles & Parking
8.1 Parking is at the vehicle owner’s risk.
8.2 Please follow the instructions of parking marshals at all times.
8.3 Vehicles causing obstruction may be moved at the owner’s expense.
- Carer Ticket Policy
We are committed to making the Skelton Show accessible and enjoyable for all visitors. A complimentary Carer Ticket is available for individuals who require essential assistance during their visit.
9.1 Carer Tickets must be booked in advance via our online ticket system Showing Scene.
9.2 Acceptable evidence includes (but is not limited to):
- Blue Badge
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP) / DLA letter
- Access Card
- Letter from a healthcare or support professional
- The person requiring assistance must hold a valid paid ticket
- Carer tickets are issued to support access needs and are not valid for general admission unless accompanying the person they support
- Traders, Exhibitors & Competitors
10.1 Separate terms apply to trade stands, exhibitors and competition entrants.
10.2 These Terms do not override any specific agreements made with these groups.
- Data Protection
11.1 Personal information collected during ticket purchase is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
11.2 Data is only shared where necessary for ticketing, safety, or legal compliance.
- General
12.1 The organisers may update these Terms at any time.
12.2 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
12.3 Entry to the Skelton Show confirms acceptance of these Terms.
Refund policy
All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges unless the event is cancelled by the organisers, where required by law.
